Measuring principle of hand-held roughness meter

Handheld Roughness Tester is a hand-held instrument suitable for production environment and mobile measurement. It can measure the surface roughness of a variety of machined parts. The corresponding parameters can be calculated according to the selected measurement conditions and displayed on the display. All measurement parameters and contour graphics are displayed.

Let's talk about the measurement principle of the handheld roughness meter.

When measuring the surface roughness of the workpiece, the hand-held roughness meter first puts the sensor on the surface to be tested, and then starts the instrument for measurement. The precision driving mechanism inside the instrument drives the sensor to slide at a constant speed along the surface to be tested. The sensor senses the roughness of the surface to be tested through the built-in sharp stylus. At this time, the roughness of the surface to be measured of the workpiece causes displacement of the stylus, and the displacement causes the inductance of the sensor coil to change, thereby being in the phase sensitive detector. The output end generates an analog signal proportional to the surface roughness of the measured surface. After the signal is amplified and level-converted, the signal enters the data acquisition system. The DSP chip performs digital filtering and parameter calculation on the collected data, and the measurement result is given on the display. It can also be output on the printer and can also communicate with a PC.
