Leeb Hardness Tester is a test equipment, the principle is that with the development of single-chip technology, in 1978, Swiss Dr. Leeb first proposed a new test method, its basic principle is to have a certain mass of impact body Under the action of a certain test force, the surface of the sample is impacted, and the impact velocity and the bounce velocity at the impact body at a distance of 1 mm from the surface of the sample are measured. Using electromagnetic principle, the voltage proportional to the velocity is sensed.

1. Test principle

With the development of monolithic technology, in 1978 Swiss Dr. Leeb first proposed a new measurement of hard method, the basic principle of which is that a certain mass of impacting body impinges on the surface of the sample under certain experimental force, and the measurement Impact body distance from the sample surface 1mm impact velocity and bounce rate, the use of electromagnetic principles, induction and speed is proportional to the voltage. The Leeb hardness value is expressed as the ratio of the impact velocity of the impact body to the impact velocity.

Calculation formula: HL = 1000 * (VB / VA)

Where: HL - Leeb hardness value

2 test steps

(1) The object to be tested shall be laid flat on the ground, it must be absolutely stable without any sloshing, there shall be no vacant position in the tested position, if necessary, a support block shall be added;

(2) Open the durometer → object material settings → hardness value setting (HRC \ HRB \ HB) → hardness detection direction setting → start hardness detection;

(3) The impact device is pressed against the surface to be measured and pressed down, then 1s and then press the small cylinder protruding above the hardness meter, the hardness value will be automatically displayed, in this process the operator must put the impact device Steady, the direction should be kept perpendicular to the measured state;

(4) Each test site should be tested at least 3 points, the distance between the two test points should be ≥ 3mm, take the average after the test as the hardness of the site, and record, and then enter the next part of the test;

(5) The test results are compared with the requirements of the object to meet the requirements for qualified, transferred to the next process; failed into the quarantine area, record the test results;

3.Leeb Hardness Tester Measuring probe

Leeb hardness tester has D, DC, D +15, C, G, E, DL seven kinds:

D: Dimensions: f20 * 70mm, Weight: 75g. Universal, for most of the hardness measurement.

DC: Dimensions: f20 * 86mm, Weight: 50g. Impact device is very short, mainly for very cramped places, such as holes or cylinders.

D +15: Dimensions: f20 * 162mm, Weight: 80g. Small head for groove or recess surface hardness measurements.
